Az orsz\u00e1ggy\u0171l\u00e9s 2000-ben ezt a napot a Kommunizmus \u00c1ldozatainak Eml\u00e9knapj\u00e1v\u00e1 nyilv\u00e1n\u00edtotta. Az \u00e1ldozatok azonban nemcsak a m\u00e1lenkij robot \u00e1ltal; tov\u00e1bb\u00e1 Recsk \u00e9s a GUL\u00c1G t\u00e1boraiban szenvedtek, vagy vesztett\u00e9k \u00e9let\u00fcket; sokakat a padl\u00e1s les\u00f6pr\u00e9sek, vall\u00e1si \u00e9s politikai \u00fcld\u00f6ztet\u00e9sek is s\u00fajtott\u00e1k.
